What others say about my work

Find out what to expect when you choose to work with me

“Tonke worked for two years in our department of Nuclear Medicine at the Isala hospital, Zwolle, the Netherlands. The goal was to finalize a multi-year project aimed at the systematic clinical evaluation of a new type of PET scanner, and to conduct a clinical trial using this scanner in patients with pancreatic cancer.

We could not have found a better person than Tonke. She quickly managed to understand the complex aspects of these 2 projects, that were very different from her previous experience and surroundings. She kept asking questions until it was absolutely clear for all involved persons (including ourselves) what the key message of the projects were and what needed to be done. Then she set up a very structured approach, finalized inclusion and data accrual and started writing, making presentations, very creative and comprehensive graphs, iconic pictures and videos that she all managed to present clearly and with a big smile. Her combination of research, writing, analytic, graphical and communication skills is unique. It was truly amazing (and I have supervised a large number of researchers during my career).

Her structured approach and critical mindset remained crucial also in the writing process. She subsequently emerged as a very good writer. Her English is excellent. With the overall goal of the two big papers constantly in mind she wrote very clear and logical texts, with a fine eye for every textual detail. And this about a subject that was initially far away from all her previous experience.

I can absolutely recommend Tonke for all research work and support. You will find no better. She is also a great pleasure to work with.”
